About the Event

Medical Herstory is pleased to present "Undoing Stigma: Celebrating Trans Joy Through Storytelling" on July 17th at 1pm to 2:30pm EST. This event allows a space for platforming trans joy and providing an opportunity for trans people to share and discuss what trans joy means to them. Through the vulnerability and honesty of the event’s participants, we hope to combat the stigma around trans people’s lives being anything other than sad, tragic, trauma-centred or otherwise invisible, and instead highlight trans happiness, trans laughter and trans liberation.

The event will involve a roundtable discussion with a panel of trans / non-binary speakers, followed by questions from the audience. This event is part of our "Storytelling to Undo Stigma" series. You can check out past editions on our Youtube channel, such as our Undoing Stigma through Creative Expression event.
